The real birthday on Sunday at Marietta Dinner

I celebrated my real birthday day at Marietta Diner with Jeremy, Hannah and Beth Anne. We had such a marvelous day, brunch at the Marietta Diner. I ordered one of my favorite dishes there...the tuna melt but with no bread or fries. It was hard for me to see everyone else order the sandwich and fries! It was mighty delicious though and I have to say I did not miss the bread/extra carbs! The Marietta diner is know for their extremely delicious and very humongous desserts which we ordered a slice of the Reeses peanut butter cup cake. It was about 25 inches high! I tasted one bite! It was so hard not to want moreeeee!!!!!!!!! The pictures are really cute! Hannah and I got a little crazy. She was so sweet and made me feel very special on my b-day!

We also did one of my favorite activities...went to the movie theater to see the flick "Brothers" which was a very good drama film. Hannah, Jay and I cried our eyes out! Beth Anne was not too effected though! Go out and see the film...its ahhhmazing!

So the day finally came, my 30th Birthday! I am officially thirty and losing my mind and my thick hair!! I feel like as soon as the 13th of Decemeber rolled around I felt myself getting old and losing it. I feel like I am losing my hearing and thought my friends were saying all kinds of crazy stuff. I have also been extremely forgetful lately (half-timers) and have not been good at taking my vitamins on a regular basis. My thick beautiful hair is slowly, but surely falling out by the mass load. My clothes are decorated with strand fulls of my hair! It's so awful!!! I bought these flavored chewable high potency vitamins from this special bariatric (gastric bypass) website and after 3 months I am so freaking sick of them!! They are chalky, gross and I cringe at the thought of having to take them. Plus they have a bad after taste and make your tongue yellow. So I went to Target and bought me some prenatal vitamins. They are so much better! I take one little pill and it makes me so happy! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the rest of my hair does not fall out! I saw Dr. Burrowes for my two month check-up and he is very happy with my progress. He wants me to lose 100 more pounds! It's a little overwhelming, but I am up for the challenge. So far I have lost 76 pounds!

I did however have an ahhhmazing 30th birthday celebration that was hosted by my good friends Hannah, Jeremy, Ceejay and Beth Anne. I had the time of my life Saturday night!! I did get a little sick beforehand on a chicken strip from Chick-fila. I have eaten one before and it did not upset me like it did that night. It's so weird how one day you can eat something and another day it's a huge problem. I was sick halfway through the night and threw up 3 times before I was feeling better. After that problem was solved...I was on cloud 9. The theme of the party was "the year you were born in" So basically it was a 70's/80's party. Dennis (Hannah's husband) was the DJ and Nathan (Hannah's brother) was the professional photographer. Nathan does wedding photography with his Dad's company and they are both amazingly talented. The salon (My mother's salon that is now Hannahs) was completely gutted of all furniture and then decorated with party stuff. There was a fog machine, disco ball, strobe lights, finger foods, drinks, balloons, dancing and lots of music and fun! I had the best birthday ever!!! Thanks to everyone who came out to help me celebrate my 30th birthday! Enjoy the pictures!!

My girlies and that darn window glare!

Jeremy and I hosted a very small Christmas party at my place with our very close friends. We held a gift exchange at the party and everyone brought a gift that did not exceed $15. It was a ton of fun! The most popular gift was Stefanie's lotto tickets. I was the last one to pick my gift and I stole it from Ceejay, who had just stolen it from Melissa (Hannah's sister). I was pretty excited to find out that after it has been stolen twice, then the gift is dead and therefore all mine!! I scratched off those tickets too quick to talk about! I won $7 and two extra tickets. Fun, Fun, Fun!

I am going for my two month check-up with Dr. Burrowes (my gbp surgeon) tomorrow with Hannah. It will be nice to see my total weigh loss recorded in my file and discuss some issues I have had post surgery with the doctor. I will definitely put an official update on my weight loss...so be on the lookout. I think it is aorund 80 pounds....which is just so insane!

I am also extremely excited about this weekend!!! It's my thirtieth birthday on Sunday! I cannot believe that I am going to be thirty!! It is just so crazy how quickly time flies bye. I am a little sad to be leaving my twenties...but know that my thirties are going to be so much better being healthy! I have been obese for the last decade. It is quite exhausting carry around all that extra weight. I am optimistic about the next decade and hope that I can find true happiness in this new body.

Hannah, Ceejay, Jeremy and Beth Anne are throwing me a party on Saturday at the hair salon at night. It's a themed party where you must where a costume. The details of the party are a secret...all I know is that I have to be dressed up and show up at the party at 8pm. The theme is "the year you were born in" so it's a 70's / 80's party. I was born in '79 so my costume will reflect that era....which is my favorite one! I am super excited, but still haven't found the complete costume yet. I am going shopping all this week....so wish me luck!
