Feeling a little sore and overwhelmed today...

Feeling a little sore and overwhelmed by everything today. I have been bed ridden for 7 days now and already over this really boring liquid diet. I keep craving crunchy foods with substance. I am a little overwhelmed that I have to keep doing this diet for the next 3 weeks. But, I am up for the challenge. I read online that you lose the most weight during the first 2 months post surgery, by staying on this liquid/puree diet. I just have to stay focused! Last night, I had a little set back and had a crying party. Thank goodness Ceejay and Hannah were there to console me. I know that everyday is a struggle, but in the end it will all be worth it all.

Please continue to keep me in your prayers.

At Hannah's House for two weeks to finish my recovery period....please continue to pray for me!

Brittany and Katrina were my first home visits...forgot to get a shot of Katrina and Baby Drew:( When I got to Hannah's house I was having some issues with chest congestion and mucus. I worked diligently throughout the next days to clear up the congestion with breathing exercises and lots of hot tea. Its been been 4 days now on my home rest and I am feeling good with minimal pain. I am on a liquid/pureed food diet for the next 2 months. I am really enjoying Gerber's banana baby food, sugar free popsicles, and lots of yummy soups and broths. Jeremy, Ceejay, and Stefani are on "duty call" this weekend to help Hannah out. Jay and Ceej keep making me laugh so hard that it feels like my incision is going to break open!

I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life! Love and hugs to everyone!! Please come and visit me!!

Discharged on Thursday afternoon...got to leave the hospital!!!

The day has finally arrived! Time to say goodbye to the 24 hour on call nurses, array of wonderful drugs, hospital food and sterile bedding! My doctor would not let me leave until I had my first BM (Bowel Movement...very embarrassing i know...) I had one on day two and was able to go home! I know Hannah was as equally as happy to be leaving too, for she had some rough sleeping quarters...a hard, plastic and uncomfortable lazy boy chair! She took some last minute pics of the hospital room and such. We had exceptional service, the nurses couldn't have been more accommodating and nice. The food was awful though...but anyone can expect that!

My Roomie and Nanny Hannay!!!

Hannah had the surgery 4 years ago at the same hospital, same doctor and about the same weight as me. She has lost about 160 lbs in over a year and has maintained the weight for the past 2 1/2 years. She has been my weight loss surgery mentor, and I only hope to be as successful as she has been.

My gorgeous city view from my hospital room...

This was by far the best perk about Atlanta Medical...the beautiful downtown city view! The emergency red helicopter keep us amused as well...

My first Nurse...Zeph ( Who thought I was funny...maybe a bit crazy too!)
