My little Cousins...Jonathan and Lauren (They drive me crazy at times but I dearly love them!!)
My favorite local artist in Sobo (South Boston) Bob Cage sculpture that is made out of Singer sewing machines and twisted wrought iron that is painted bright orange. It is located right in heart of downtown Sobo.
This is Annie, Lauren's palomino horse that she rides weekly. Lauren loves horseback riding, horses are her passion in life. This was the first time that I got to meet her beloved horse. I had such a good time on the farm watching her ride and meeting her riding instructor teacher.
I was giving Annie a treat! I was a little confused as to how that works! You place the treat flat on your hand and the horse picks it up with her tongue. It was weird at first...but made sense afterwards.
Christmas Day with Aunt Shirley. We are over at Kelly and Jeff's house in Halifax, VA. which is about 5 miles away.
Cooking in the kitchen with the kids....they were good little helpers!
Posing for the camera...they were full body pictures for my blog of course!
Up-close face photo
Christmas Eve at Shirley's house in South Boston. This was a picture of me and Kelly. It took many, many tries to get the perfect pic! (Kelly does the deer-in-the-headlights face a lot!)
SNOW DAY!!! These are the pictures from when it snowed. We had such a blast playing in the snow all day long until the wee hours of night. One of my favorite memories while visiting the family in VA.
Shirley's House...the first day of snow fun!
Well, it's been way too long since I have written on my blog! It is way over-due! okay, so I spent Christmas with my family in South Boston, Virginia. My Aunt Shirley (My mother's sister) and her daughter Kelly (my cousin) and her husband Jeff and 2 children Jonathan and Lauren. We had such a wonderful time together. I spent about 2 1/2 weeks in town with them...which is the longest time I have ever been able to stay. Sometimes not having a job can be a good thing.
The first day I got there the family told me that weather was predicting SNOW in the forecast!! I absolutely just loveeee snow!! I had an absolute blast playing in the snow with the kids, Jonathan and Lauren. We went snow boarding and had snowball fights. It was such a beautiful day, the snowfall was about 10 inches...which is a lot for a girl from Georgia. I got a ton of exercise too!!
I weighed myself at a doctor's office (got a little cold) and the grand weight loss total was 87 pounds. I was one happy girl! My hair is still falling out, by the chunk-loads! It was awful. Lauren mostly would pick all the hairs off my outfit and complain how gross it was. It was quite embarrassing going places and then coming home only to find out that there were like fifty strands of blonde hairs all over the back of my outfit! I bought some anti-hair breakage shampoo and conditioner from Pantene. It claims to stop breakage in one month after usage. We will see about that! I see Dr. Burrowes in February for my follow-up and will speak to him about it then. In the meantime, I plan on making an appointment with my primary care physician to get me some high potency vitamins. Maybe the prescription prenatals will be better? We will see.
Enjoy the pictures!!
